The air was filled with joy and the spirit of Christmas on December 22, 2024, as Great Minds International School hosted its annual Nine Lessons and Carols Day Celebration. Held at the school’s beautiful campus in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, this cherished tradition brought together students, staff, parents, and the community to celebrate the festive season in style.
The event kicked off with a heartfelt opening prayer and a welcome speech by the Head of School, emphasizing the significance of unity, gratitude, and the Christmas story. The program featured nine carefully selected scripture readings, each presented by students and teachers from Kindergarten to Junior High School, reflecting the story of Christ’s birth.
Adding to the magic of the evening, the school choir delivered soul-stirring carols and hymns, accompanied by lively performances from the cultural troupe and instrumental ensemble. The highlight of the event was the enchanting rendition of “O Holy Night,” which received a standing ovation from the audience.
The carols day also provided an opportunity for students to showcase their talents through drama and creative performances, reminding everyone of the values of love, hope, and giving during the holiday season.
The celebration ended on a high note with a special blessing and closing remarks, leaving everyone in attendance inspired and filled with the warmth of Christmas.
